GTA 6 PC Requirements: What's Confirmed and What You'll Likely Need
Rockstar has not announced GTA 6 for PC, so there are no official PC system requirements. Any page that lists "official" specs today is guessing. Here is what is confirmed, what has only been reported, and the PC we expect you will need, built from the consoles' hardware and Rockstar's own recent PC requirements.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not officially, as of November 7, 2026. Rockstar's release announcement names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. In a May 2026 interview with Bloomberg, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explained why PC is not part of the launch: "Rockstar always starts on console because I think with regard to a release like that you're judged by serving the core."
He did not rule out a PC version, and Rockstar's last three big games, GTA IV, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, all reached PC after the consoles.

When will GTA 6 come out on PC?
Nobody outside Rockstar knows. History gives a range: Rockstar's last three big games reached PC between 7 and 19 months after the consoles.

What hardware is GTA 6 built for?
The consoles are the only hardware Rockstar has committed to, so they are the best guide to what a PC will need. All three use the same family of AMD parts that sits in many gaming PCs.

What that suggests for PC Our reading
- CPU. An 8-core Zen 2 at up to 3.5 GHz is in the same family as a Ryzen 7 3700X, at lower clocks. A 6-core desktop chip of that generation or newer is a reasonable floor.
- Memory. A console's 16 GB holds both the game and its graphics. A PC splits that between system RAM and the graphics card's own VRAM, which is why 22 of the 29 recent PC games we checked ask for 16 GB of system RAM as their minimum.
- Xbox Series S. The game has to run with 10 GB in total on the smallest console. That limits how heavy the lowest settings can be.
What did Rockstar ask for last time?
Rockstar's two most recent PC releases show how it writes requirements. Red Dead Redemption 2 recommended a GTX 1060 6GB, a mainstream card that was three years old when the game came out. The 2025 re-release of GTA V, GTA V Enhanced, recommends an RTX 3060.

Big open-world games from other studios set the bar higher. Assassin's Creed Shadows (March 2025) recommends an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT with 16 GB of RAM. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II recommends an RTX 4070 and 32 GB. Mafia: The Old Country asks for an RTX 2070 as its minimum and an RTX 3080 Ti with 32 GB for 1440p. How to spot fake "official" GTA 6 PC requirements
Search for GTA 6 PC requirements and you will find pages presenting exact numbers as if Rockstar had published them. It has not. Signs that a list is made up:
- No link to Rockstar. Real requirements will appear on the Rockstar Newswire, Rockstar's support site and the game's store pages. GTA V Enhanced and Red Dead Redemption 2 both sell on Steam, so a Steam page is likely too.
- The word "official" before any PC announcement. As of November 7, 2026, Rockstar has not announced a PC version at all.
- A precise storage figure or "leaked" spec sheet with no named source.
- A download link. There is no PC version to download. Anything offering one is at best fake and at worst malware.
